A rugby club in Kampala, Uganda was the site of a terrorist bombing Nate Henn, a former University of Delaware rugby player, lost his life as did more than 70 others. The University of Delaware Rugby Community lost a son over the weekend in Uganda after two explosions left over 70 dead at a World Cup celebration.
For those who knew Nate, he was a very friendly, outgoing guy. Nate was quick to smile and liked to laugh. He was always willing to help his friends and those he barely knew. Nate was hurt during his time playing at UD, but still came out to games to support us every weekend.
Nate had been to Uganda before to do humanitarian work and had returned to visit with his Aunt. As can be seen from the quote below, offered from the following article, Nate was a really good guy who cared for others and often put them in front of himself.
"From traveling the United States without pay advocating for the freedom of abducted child soldiers in Joseph Kony's war, to raising thousands of dollars to put war-affected Ugandan students in school, Nate lived a life that demanded explanation. He sacrificed his comfort to live in the humble service of God and of a better world, and his is a life to be emulated"
Please keep Nate's family in your thoughts and prayers.
