EPRU U 19 All Stars Capture 2nd Place at All Star Rugby Challenge Cup Indiana defeats East Penn 17-12 in Cup final Indiana Wins Potomac All Star Challenge June 22-25, 2006, Baltimore, MD
The Indiana All Stars defeated the Eastern Penn All Stars 7-12 Sunday to capture the Potomac Rugby Foundation's Second Annual Boys U-19 All Star Rugby Challenge Cup in Baltimore.
Indiana defeated Carolina while Eastern Penn shocked USA Junior Eagle-filled Texas in the semifinal round to advance in the most entertaining match of the weekend. Defending champion Metropolitan New York finished fifth and the Potomac All Stars captured sixth place.
Invitations were extended to approximately 50 of the 300 all stars participating by the USA Boys U-19 coaching staff on hand to attend the upcoming USA U-19 Eagle trials camp in July. In addition to the USA staff, several college head coaches were in attendance evaluating talent. The Baltimore-Chesapeake RFU co-hosted the event, held at Bocek Park in East Baltimore.
