Applications are invited for the full-time Men’s and Women’s Head Rugby Coach/Administrator position. The primary responsibilities include recruiting, scheduling and related duties involved with head coaching a varsity club program.  Additional responsibilities include but not limited to administrative duties involving sports information responsibilities.

NSCRO Women's Collegiate Results

Mount St. Mary's University hosted the Women's Collegiate NSCRO Mid Atlantic Regionals on November 12-13. On Saturday, MSMU defeated York College of PA 20-17 to advance to the final on Sunday vs. Lee University. In a tough loss, MSMU fell to Lee University by a score of 29-26. Neumann University traveled to Granville, OH for the NSCRO Central Region playoffs. On Saturday, Neumann won 35-29 over Denison University and faced SUNY Cortland the next day. SUNY Cortland came out on top 43-24.

Tier 1 Women's Collegiate Playoffs

Results are in! Mount St. Mary's defeated Neumann 39-26. MSMU will represent the EPRU at the NSCRO Mid Atlantic regional championship on November 12-13 hosted by Mount St. Mary's. Neumann will go to the NSCRO Central Regional Championship at Denison University in Granville, Ohio.The winner of that event will advance to the National Championship on December 3-4 at Life University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Widener defeated Albright to take 3rd and 4th places respectively.

Two Women's Collegiate Teams Advance to NSCRO Regionals

Mount St. Mary's and Neumann University will advance to the NSCRO Regional Championships on November 12-13. In a close game until the end, Mount St. Mary's defeated Neumann University for 1st place by a score of 39-26. The match was tied 12-12 at the half. Mount St. Mary's will host the NSCRO Mid-Atlantic South Regional Championship at Echo Field, while Neumann University will travel to Denison University in Granville, Ohio  to participate in the Central Region Championship.

Please be ready to send at least one (1) member of your team. A Basic Skills 7s Clinic for collegiate women will be held at the Upper Providence Twp. Recreation Center on February 20. The Clinic is FREE for all EPRU member players/teams. 2016 Annual Mandatory EPRRS Meeting

The 2016 EPRRS Annual Clinic will offer three separate locations on Saturday, January 30th. Remember, this is a mandatory session for all teams (Club, College, High School & Age Grade) that utilize the services of the EPRRS.  The Clinic will provide instruction for the year, as well as assistance for each club's officers in their dealings with the EPRRS.  The Clinic should take no more than two hours depending on questions from the crowd.

EPRU Women's Collegiate Tier 2 Season Recap - Neumann & Swarthmore are Top Teams

The EPRU Tier 2 women's collegiate rugby season came to a close on October 24, 2015. The Tier 2 championship tournament at Neumann University in Aston, PA followed a season in which the Tier 2 division was divided into two brackets. These brackets provided a more formalized structure to Tier 2 competition and allowed emerging teams the opportunity to plan league matches and compete for the top seed in either the East or West bracket.

EPRU Awards Scholarships for East Stroudsburg Player Development Camp

Each year the EPRU provides scholarship funds for 3 collegiate players to attend the East Stroudsburg Player Development Camp based on the submission of an essay. This year Meg Miller, Molly Stocker and Nataly Cisneros were lucky enough to be chosen and to attend the camp tuition-free. Meg is a scrumhalf, Molly a lock, and Nataly a hooker. A Level One Referee Certification will be held January 31 in Bethesda, MD at Georgetown Prep. Match officials are need at all levels, regardless of age/commitment/availability. Mt St Mary's Wins Mid Atlantic Championship

Mount St. Mary's Women Take 4th at NSCRO National Championship

Mount St. Mary's University Rugby placed 4th at the NSCRO Women's National Collegiate Championship on November 23. They represented the Mid Atlantic Region having just won that title by defeating Albright College Women 42-15 on November 9th. In the semi-final, they faced Sacred Heart University Women from Fairfield, CT and lost 27-15. Their next opponent was Minnesota State University Moorhead but they were not able to prevail and lost 31-5.

Women's Collegiate Tier I Playoff Results

The 2014 Women’s College Playoffs were hosted by Harrisburg RFC on October 25 & 26, 2014. On a sunny but breezy weekend, the top 7 teams competed for the right to move onto the EPRU Championship and to play for a bid to the NSCRO Region 3 Mid Atlantic Championship. First round action slated Albright College against newcomer DeSales University.  DeSales gave their best effort, but the far more experienced Albright team controlled the match throughout winning 59–0. In the same  bracket, Widener played Gettysburg.

Albright, Mount Compete in NSCRO 7s Nationals

The women of Albright College and Mount. St. Mary's trekked to Allendale, Mich. over the weekend for the inaugural NSCRO Women’s 7s at Grand Valley State University. The Mount took third place in the national tourney, with scrumhalf Meghan Reed earning a spot on the All-Tournament team. 

After losses to South Dakota State and Millersville, Mount St. Mary's bounced back in pool play to defeat Albright 27-10. In Sunday's semifinals, The Mount fell again to SDSU 24-0 but took the third-place trophy with a big 17-0 win over Tiffin University.

5th Annual Frostbite Rugby Tournament - CANCELLED

Due to snow on the fields, the Fifth Annual Frostbite Tournament has been cancelled.

The Hempfield Rugby Football Club is all set to host their Fifth Annual Frostbite Rugby Tournament. The tournament is scheduled for February 22 and 23, 2014, and will take place at Hempfield High School in Landisville, PA.

East Penn Rugby Referee Society Mandatory Clinic

The date of the 2014 Annual Clinic for all clubs is Saturday, February 1. This is a mandatory session for all teams (Club, College, High School & Age Grade) that utilize the services of the EPRRS (East Penn Rugby Referee Society). The cost of the clinic is $50 per Club and will provide instruction for the year as well as a manual that will assist each Club's officers in their dealings with the EPRRS.

Cumberland Valley Rugby Club, host of the Level 200 Coaching Clinic in Mechanicsburg on January 25, 2014, has announced that the clinic is sold out. A Level 200 Coaching Certification will be the minimum requirement for all coaches of contact teams, and consists of an online course and 1-day in person certification clinic.

For the Fall 2013 play, there will be 3 brackets of 4 teams. Every team will play 3 league matches. The top two from each bracket will move to play-offs plus the next two teams with the highest points received. League play will be September 21 and 28th and October 5th and 12th. Play-offs will be held October 19th, 26th-27th and November 2nd.
